InnoDays 2027
FROM SIGNAL TO CLINICAL IMPACT
How do we move from promising technologies to solutions that work in clinical practice? And what does it take to make this translation safe, effective and evidence- based? The EKFZ InnoWeek 2027 brings together researchers, clinicians and innovators from across disciplines to explore this journey, connecting sensing and imaging with data, AI, clinical decision making and translation. Different technologies and clinical challenges, connected by one ambition: turning signals into clinical impact.

Beyond the Tip: Smart Catheters for Sensing, Imaging & Therapy
May 20-21, 2027
Catheters are no longer just tubes for access and drainage. Equipped with sensors, actuators and wireless links, they are becoming intelligent platforms for diagnosis, monitoring and therapy inside the body. They can measure blood pressure, flow, temperature and blood gases in real time, image vessel walls with ultrasound and optics, steer robotically through complex anatomy, and deliver drugs exactly where they are needed. Our two-day symposium brings together engineers, material scientists, clinicians, industry and regulatory experts to discuss the whole chain: from MEMS and flexible electronics, through biocompatible packaging and clinical integration, to scalable manufacturing. Expect lectures, live demos and plenty of networking, concluding with a joint session with our sister symposia.
